Silver Borne By Patricia Briggs

This actually wasn’t my favorite novel in this series. I’m not saying that it’s an awful novel, because it certainly wasn’t. It’s a good novel, but it just wasn’t on my top three list. There just wasn’t as much action in it, and Patricia Briggs is all about the action. An while there is some in this novel, there just isn’t that much. Which was only slightly disappointing in the long run of things.

After everything that happened with the vampires Mercy just wants a break. One where she can get all her work done and not have to worry about anyone trying to kill her. But first she needs to return the book that she borrowed from Phin. A book that tells its reader all about the different types of fae. An it’s one that she wants to get rid of as soon as possible. But that simple task just got a whole lot trickier for Mercy. Because not only is Phin not answering her phone calls; he’s also not home and his bookstore is completely destroyed. An the cryptic phone call that she received from him also starts to finally make sense. For something bad has happened to Phin, and it all seems to be centered on the book that Mercy is currently carrying. An if it gets in the wrong hands all the powers- and secrets- that it contains could destroy everything. But that’s not the only thing that Mercy currently has to worry about. Because Brandon has finally figured out that Samuels both can no longer be contained. Leaving him with no choice, but to forfeit his own son’s life. No matter how much it pains him to do so. And mercy refuses to allow Sam to die. She won’t give up on him and she’ll do whatever it takes to keep him alive. Even if it means going up against Brandon Adam. Which is exactly what Mercy plans to do, because when it comes to family nothing can stop her. Especially when it comes to protecting them from each other. This novel would be classified as an adult urban fantasy novel. One that also has a bit of romance added to it. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s full of werewolves, fae, witches, vampires, shifters, and so much more. It’s a perfect melting pot of paranormal creatures all in one novel. Making this the perfect type of urban fantasy novel for all readers everywhere. Combine this with the plot and you’ve got a kick-ass novel that everyone will enjoy. Especially considering that the main character is easily relatable to. Leaving me to give this novel quite an excellent recommendation. For this novel is truly one of a kind. It’ll leave you wanting more and more with every passing chapter. So run to your nearest bookstore or library and pick it up today. For it surely won’t disappoint you in any way.
